I’m Fishing with Pop-Pop Today is about a little girl named Rosie and her Pop-Pop. Rosie wants to catch a BIG fish while fishing with her Pop-Pop. She realizes her Pop-Pop won’t allow her to hold her own fishing pole, bait her own hook, cast her own line, or reel in her own fish. A cute fishing story. It’s easy to read and has fun repetition.
It has been nearly a year since I’m Fishing with Pop-Pop Today was published, and what a remarkable year it has been. Throughout this time, I’ve been fortunate to participate in various festivals and events, meeting numerous Pop-Pops or people who know a Pop-Pop. We instantly connect through our stories and love for fishing. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that so many people enjoy my story and enjoy fishing with their children and grandchildren. Fishing is more than just a sport. It teaches a child patience, staying focused, and connecting with nature. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have touched the lives of so many through my storytelling. Thank you to everyone who has supported and embraced my work. Your encouragement has made this experience truly remarkable.
I am excited to share my upcoming book, titled, Save the Trees, (Brandylane/BelleIsleBooks, Illustrated by Lintang Pandu Pratiwi). The book will release sometime this winter or early spring. While the story is fictional, its theme holds a special place in my heart—the importance of saving trees. My farm has over 25 species of trees, and we continually ensure the trees remain healthy and free of invasive vines and plants. I look forward to my book’s release and hope it will inspire you to save the trees!
